About Me
I was born in Dera Ismail Khan in 1974. The D. I. Khan (Urdu, Saraiki: ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان, Pashto: ډېره اسماعيل خان) is a city in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. It is situated on the west bank of the Indus River, 200 miles (320 km) west of Lahore and 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Multan. The city is the capital of the district and tehsil of the same name.
I did Bachelors in Computer Science and Physics from Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan in 1996.

Under the supervision of Prof. Karim Djouani, I completed Ph.D. from the University of Paris-Est, France in 2010 with the thesis entitled, Analysis and Design of Routing Link Metrics for Quality Routing in Wireless Multi-hop Networks.
Also, I am working as Tenured Professor, and founding head of the ComSens (Communications over Sensors) Research Group at the Department of Computer Science, COMSATS University Islamabad, Islamabad, 44000, Pakistan. I am
I have supervised 30 Ph.D. and 158 masters theses. I have authored over 900 articles in technical journals and international conferences. Also I am an Associate Editor of the IEEE Access Journal and editor of the Sustainable Cities and Society journal. My research interests include, Ad-hoc networks, vehicular networks, body area sensor networks, underwater sensor networks, renewable & sustainable energy, energy management, cloud and fog computing, data science, blockchain, etc.
